MANAMA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: UK based Forward Learning Solutions (FLS), in partnership with leading institutions, has rolled out one-stop-shop solutions for overseas students willing to join the UK educational institutions.
“You chose the university we will do everything to get you there,” this was the takeaway from a webinar Zoom meeting organised by the FLS in partnership with VFS Global and BDSME Bahrain on Saturday.
The Zoom meeting was attended by a fairly large number of participants including parents and students and other stakeholders seeking opportunities in the UK education sector which has been proved one of the most dynamic and resilient sectors of the UK economy since the pandemic hit the global community early this year.
The Zoom Webinar titled: UK educational landscape offers immense opportunities in post COVID-19 era was addressed by Dr Trevor Bolton, EX Vice Pro Chancellor, Anglia Ruskin University and Governor of the Architectural Association; Mr. Dusty AmroliWala; COO of VFS Global’s Educational Services; Mr. Vinod Siyani, Commercial Director at FLS; Dylan Shah; Student Coordinator at FLS and currently a student at the University College of London.
Each of the speakers shed light on the challenges and opportunities offered by the UK education sector through presentations followed by the questions and answer session highlighting the salient features of their respective areas of expertise.
The UK remains an extremely popular destination for international students, for example, in 2017–18, there were close to a half a million 458,490 international students studying at UK higher education institutions, accounting for 19.6% of the total student population in the UK. 14% of all undergraduates and 35.8% of all postgraduates were international students. The UK higher education is a global success story, thanks to the world’s renowned universities for their quality, diversity and impact while internationalization remains a central to this success.
FLS plans to host more such interactive webinars Zoom meetings by inviting the UK’s leading universities and education institutions aboard providing a rare opportunity to prospective students and parents to interact with these institutions directly during the session.
