Manama: Alsayah square, the first commercial and medical complex of its kind, is set to open in the heart of Busaiteen.
The opening add new dimension to the existing infrastructure of Busaiteen which is also known as the commercial and medical district of Muharraq Governorate.
Located opposite King Hamad Medical Hospital (KHUH) and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Alsayah Square will provide entertainment and medical services for residents of Busaiteen as well as people from Muharraq Governorate.
The complex, designed to be the first medical and commercial project in Busaiteen, is built on an area of 100,000 sq. ft. with a height of three floors. The complex will feature a range of carefully selected round-the-clock stores, including a supermarket, a pharmacy, banking and telecom services and international restaurants and cafes with ample outdoor seating areas intended to accentuate the dining experience.
Alsayah Square is the first development project in Busaiteen that includes two drive-through units, one of which is allocated to an international restaurant and another to a cafe. The provision of the shell and core drive-through units is in line with Alsayah Square’s promise to deliver easy access and comfort to visitors as well as offer potential tenants an opportunity to design the space as per their preference and requirements.
Further, in recognition of the governorate’s unique demographic, the third floor at Alsayah Square has been designed to house a medical complex. This complex will support the community by hosting both general and specialized medical units addressing a growing demand for medical services in the area. The distinctive and wide range of services offered adds to the project’s objective of reflecting the Governorate’s image as ‘a gateway to the world’, particularly to those entering the country through Bahrain International Airport.
Alsayah Square has also taken measures to ensure optimal and responsible use of natural resources owing to its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals. At the complex, sustainable practices that enhance energy conversation, such as thermal insulation, have been integrated during the construction phase, extending its benefits into daily operations. For potential retailers, this will translate into a significant reduction in long-term operating costs.
Alsayah Square is set to not only cater to the daily needs of residents living in its vicinity but will also elevate and uplift their lifestyle. The management is currently in talks with several international restaurants and cafes. The commitment of these brands as tenants will complement the government’s efforts to making the Kingdom a preferred and distinctive family destination.
