MANAMA: BNP Paribas Middle East and Africa announced the appointment of Maryam Kameshki as Head of MENA Trading Global Markets. Maryam is based at Bahrain Financial Harbour, BNP Paribas’ regional Headquarters in the Middle East and Africa.
She is tasked with the continued growth of the MENA trading platform across 10 different markets, including six Gulf and four North African. Maryam leads a diversified team based in Bahrain supported by two MENA rates and FX traders.
Maryam’s promotion underscores BNP Paribas’ commitment to nurturing and recognising upcoming talent and their progression into leading roles within the organisation. Notably, she is also the youngest person to occupy the role of Head of MENA Trading, Global Markets, the bank in a statement said.
She reports to Djamel Bruimaud, Head of Global Markets, Middle East and Africa who is also based in Bahrain. Her team secures and develops access to MENA markets to service local and global clients in the region.
Maryam joined BNP Paribas in April 2013. She holds an MSc (Hons) in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Manchester and a BSc (Hons) in Banking and Finance from the University of Wales.
