Manama: The Airside Medical Facility at the Bahrain International Airport New Passenger Terminal is fully operational and started receiving travelers from 28th January, 2021.
Run by Bahrain Specialist Hospital, the facility is equipped to offer more than urgent and primary care; travelers can consult with BSH Clinicians regarding chronic conditions and travel-related illnesses; seek advice on required vaccinations to take when travelling to a new country; undergo basic health checkups, and even order prescription medication.
The Bahrain Specialist Hospital – Airport Clinic pharmacy is linked directly to the main BSH pharmacy in Juffair. While the airport pharmacy will stock all common medicines, any medicine not in stock can be ordered and will be delivered within 45 minutes to one hour.
“It is an honor that Bahrain Specialist Hospital has been chosen to run the Airside Medical Facility. We have staffed the hospital with highly experienced healthcare workers and ensured that travelers are given the same quality of care for which our Hospital in Juffair and Clinic at Riffa are known,” Dr. Kasim O. Ardati, BSH Managing Director, said.
A team of dedicated healthcare professionals will be available at the Bahrain Specialist Hospital -Airport Clinic around the clock to offer medical services to passengers and airport staff, and will also act as first medical responders in case of emergencies.
Travelers seeking a consultation are able to walk in, or fix appointments in advance, either through the BSH website or over the phone.
