Manama: BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, which has launched a state-of-the-art new loan application feature via the BBKPLUS App, is offering special rates to first one hundred loan applicants. The new app is a part of the bank’s continuous efforts to offer its customers with the latest technological solutions in order to enhance their banking experience.
“Following the successful launch of the BBKPLUS app in July last year, which allows customers to open accounts with BBK in a matter of minutes, BBK is proud to introduce the second wave of services which will allow new and existing customers to apply for a Consumer Loan through the app at their own convenience through a swift and secure application process,” the statement added.
“In addition to the account opening services which allow customers to open a Savings account, Salary Transfer account, Money Maker account in multiple currencies, or an Al Hayrat account, customers are now able to apply for a Consumer loan through their mobile phones or tablets using the BBKPLUS app which provides a quick yet secure application process using the latest technologies such as ID and identity verification, customer screening and document verification all of which are required to apply for a loan at a branch.
“Moreover, it allows customers to request for a top up on their existing loans where customers will only be required to submit a few documents via the app and transfer their existing loans from other banks to BBK.
“We are excited to introduce the latest in the wave of services which fall in line with our strategy towards digitization that suit the modern individual. Our aim is to enrich the lives of our customers by providing a smooth and flexible application process where customers can apply for a loan at their own convenience via the BBKPLUS app,” Dr. AbdulRahman Ali Saif, BBK’s Group Chief Executive, said. “We, at BBK, are progressing in a clear and firm manner to transform BBK as the future Bank.”
“We aim to create a fully integrated banking experience via the BBKPLUS app that will allow customers to sit back and bank at their own comfort. The new loan application process will allow them to apply for a loan or to request for a top up in a highly secure and user friendly interface, accommodating to all customers and their different lifestyles in today’s fast paced digital world,” Dr. Adel Salem, General Manager of the Retail Banking Division at BBK, added.
Once customers register and start the application process, they will be able to log out and sign back in, to continue where they left off without losing the entered information. Moreover, customers will also be able to re-submit documents without having to go through the entire application again.
“We are excited to offer a very special interest rate for the first 100 loan applicants through the BBKPLUS app. In addition to that, eligible applicants will also enter a raffle draw to win 10 monthly cash prizes worth BD 300 each if they apply for a loan during July, August and September.”
To avail the service, new customers will simply need their mobile devices and their personal Bahrain ID Card, in addition to a second ID. Upon downloading the app, they will be required to sign up and verify their identities. Customers then will be able to apply for a Consumer loan or to request for a top up or to transfer their loan to BBK, in addition to the existing account opening feature. The Bank, in a second phase, will also launch Car Loans and Mortgage Loans through the same app. The BBKPLUS app is available to all IOS and Android users, and will serve as the latest in a series of recently launched technology-based banking services from BBK.
