Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain and Pakistan discussed and reviewed cooperation and coordination in the areas of counterterrorism and as well as bilateral coordination in fighting narcotics and human trafficking.
This came as Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, held talks with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and reviewed bilateral ties between the brotherly nations.
The meeting, which was attended by the Chief of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, which held on the sideline of the Pakistani Foreign Minister’s visit to chair the delegation of his country in the second meeting of the joint ministerial committee between the two countries.
The Interior Minister welcomed the official for the visit that comes as part of the exchange of views between the two countries. He hailed the strong ties between Bahrain and Pakistan.
Topics of common interest were also reviewed.
Ambassador Fatima Abdulla Fares Aldhaen, Chief of Afro-Asian Affairs, was also present.
