Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel have discussed political and security developments in the region and both sides agreed to work collectively on regional challenges and issues of common concerns at the regional and international levels.
The two sides agreed to prepare a joint action plan to determine the priorities of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and follow up on what has been agreed to advance bilateral relations and develop cooperation in a number of fields.
This came as Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, HE Yair Lapid.
The meeting was held within the framework of the Israeli Foreign Minister’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain at an invitation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Yair Lapid on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to develop bilateral cooperation to achieve common interests within the framework of the Declaration of Support for Peace signed by the two countries.
The Israeli Foreign Minister expressed his happiness about visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the importance of joint work to strengthen relations between the two countries.
He also expressed keenness of the State of Israel to develop bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Undersecretary for Political Affairs, HE Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Israel HE Khalid Yousef Al Jalahma, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the State of Israel to the Kingdom of Bahrain and a number of senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries.
