Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa told Israeli Foreign Minister that Bahrain would remained committed towards peace and stability in the region affirming that peace is a strategic option for the Kingdom.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, at the Al-Sakhir Palace the Foreign Affairs Minister of the State of Israel, Yair Lapid, who was on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, said that Bahrain’s vision and approach are based on fostering the values of understanding, dialogue, cooperation, peaceful co-existence, tolerance and rapprochement among peoples, noting that the kingdom is keen to support all efforts aimed at achieving peace, stability and development that would benefit all.
HM the King asserted that the signing of the agreements is an important historic accomplishment towards achieving a just, lasting and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, as well as meeting the aspirations of the peoples of the region for security, stability and prosperity.
HM the King valued highly the role played by The United States of America in reaching peace agreements, and endeavours to push efforts to reach peace in the region forward for the sake of ensuring a more prosperous and stable future for all the peoples of the region.
HM the King welcomed the Israeli Foreign Minister, and reviewed with him the progress of bilateral relations, and the steps that would contribute to broadening areas of cooperation between the two countries, in light of the signing of the Declaration Supporting Peace and the principles of the Abraham Accords.
HM King Hamad also welcomed the opening of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
