Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: With two-thirds of the world population shifting to remote work for improved work-life balance, the Kingdom of Bahrain ranked third in the world for work-life-balance scale.
According to a recent data study done on the state of work-life balance by nTask, the UAE has turned to a four-and-a-half workday week as of January 2022. The change has helped usher in a surge of increased efficiency at the cost of reduced work hours.
Part of nTask’s data study highlights is the 40 per cent of expats who have especially relocated to Oman for more control over work-life balance.
Followed by Denmark and Norway, Bahrain is the highest rated country in the world for ideal work-life balance scale as MENA professionals are not extremely far behind in this race.
“More and more MENA professionals are flocking to productivity and project management applications to spearhead their daily work activities,” the report says.
“We have a new work structure in progress — redefining the norm for European societies and affecting the Middle East. In other words, hybrid work is the buzz these days. MENA is riding on this wave as part of the post-COVID referendum for employees and employers worldwide.”
