Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Rapid changes and technological innovations have added a new dimension to the GCC media landscape.
Bander Fahad Abdulsalam, CEO of Creative Media, on the sidelines of the 1st Gulf Radio and Television Festival, told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com) that in light of the developments the media is witnessing, especially modern mass media, there has been a dramatic shift in the way media content reaches the public and the end-users through social media, modern technology.
Indeed, he added, now the media content reaches the end-users directly through the smart phones easily, differently from the past. Moreover, he said, the ongoing media revolution will contribute to improving the media content and its quality in the coming years, especially in the Gulf region.
“Of course, youth are the generation of the future. So, we have been keen on instilling the Gulf identity in the festival, through carefully selecting the type of media content targeting them,” he said while highlighting the importance of the three-day 1st Gulf Radio and Television Festival in Bahrain.
Also, he added, we have organised workshops and forums that focus the future of the media, which will be different from today. “So, all mass media will help them develop their skills and talent.”
“First of all, I am incredibly happy for winning the rights to organise the Gulf Radio and Television Festival in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is the first time that the Creative Media organises the festival. We have sought to create a new identity for the festival and develop it to ensure that the current edition would be different from the previous ones,” he said while responding to a question about the event in Bahrain.
