MANAMA: Pakistan Community in the Kingdom celebrated the 75th Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in a well-attended flag hoisting ceremony.
The ceremony held at the embassy premises and led by HE Ambassador Muhammad Ayub, wherein in the separate messages of the President of Pakistan and Prime Minister the nation has been congratulated on the 75th Independence Day.
The Ambassador congratulated the Pakistani community in Bahrain on the auspicious occasion.
“The 14th August reminds us of the epic democratic struggle of our forefathers for securing a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-continent where they could fashion their lives according to their religious, cultural and social values,” the Ambassador said.
Lauding the Pakistani diaspora, the Ambassador noted that the community deserves profound appreciation for demonstrating a great sense of loyalty, patriotism, hard work and contribution to economic development of both the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Pakistan, country of origin.
He appreciated the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for the remarkable progress and peace Bahrain has achieved.
He thanked the entire Bahraini nation for treating expat communities with dignity and respect.
