Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Royal Bahrain Hospital is one of the latest organisations to sponsor the 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships, to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the global major sporting event is being hosted by the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation and supervised the Asian Weightlifting Federation, from October 6 to 16, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The sponsorship was signed in Gilgamesh Hall at the Golden Tulip Hotel, in the presence of the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation president, His Excellency Mr. Eshaq Ibrahim Eshaq, and Chief Operating Officer of Royal Bahrain Hospital, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Rashed, Maketing Director at the hospital Sarah Hamza, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Asian Weightlifting Championships Ms. Mai Al Mahmeed and Coordinator of the Medical Committee Noura Al Mahmeed.
His Excellency Mr. Eshaq valued the Royal Bahrain Hospital’s support for the championship, noting that this sponsorship reflects the hospital’s keenness to implement the community partnerships between the private and the sports sectors.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Royal Bahrain Hospital, Ahmed Jawahery, expressed the hospital’s pleasure to sponsor the Asian Weightlifting Championships, stressing his keenness to support the efforts of the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation to bring this prestigious event to the kingdom.
He said hosting this event is part of the goals set by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to make Bahrain as a major destination for hosting major continental and international sports competitions.
He wished the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation all the success in hosting this event.
Meanwhile, the organising committee continued its intensive preparations to finalise all arrangements in and looks forward to reach full readiness before the start of the tournament.
