Manama: Her Excellency Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Bahrain Olympic Committee member and Bahrain Table Tennis Association President, visited the national weightlifting team training ahead of the 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships, to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from October 6th to 16th.
The national weightlifting team is running a training camp at the Bahrain Table Tennis Federation, in preparation for the Championships
This 10-day event is under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Public Sports Authority and president of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and is organized by the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation under the supervision of the Asian Weightlifting Federation, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Present were Eshaq Ibrahim Eshaq, President of the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation, and members of the federation and the organizing committee of the championships.
Shaikha Hayat said the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting the Asian Championship embodies the great support of the wise leadership and the esteemed government, in making Bahrain a sporting icon.
Shaikha Hayat noted the Kingdom approach in the sports aspect under the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikha Hayat also explained that bringing this prominent event to the country constitutes an important turning point in recording a new success for the Kingdom and is in line with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid in promoting sports tourism.
Her Highness expressed her appreciation for the outstanding efforts of the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation and the enthusiasm of the standing committees will promise a very successful championship.
“The Bahrain Table Tennis Federation is happy with this cooperation with the Weightlifting Federation. This joint cooperation comes from the joint responsibility between the two federations and the efforts of all sports sectors hand in hand towards an ideal hosting of the tournament.”

Eshaq praised the lead role of Shaikha Hayat and the cooperation of the Table Tennis Federation, which contributes to achieving various goals.
He praised Shaikha Hayat directives to the athletes during the visit, which left a positive spirit among all of the national team members.
