Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Advisor to HM King on Diplomatic Affairs on Saturday said that Israeli elections outcome would not affect the Bahrain-Israel relations.
Shaikh Khalid during a media briefing, on the sidelines of Bahrain Dialogue Forum, said that the Kingdom of Bahrain has Abraham Accord with Israel and considers elections results as a routine and not expect any change in the bilateral ties. “Bahrain along with GCC and some other countries had signed Abraham Accord with the State of Israel and we will remain committed to it and we will continue to build our partnership on that,” Shaikh Khalid told the media.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain, the UAE and few other countries that have signed that landmark deal with Israel and I do not think that Israel’s relations to the region should be seen as a whole rather it should be left to countries of the region themselves. We want to make an example and succeed together and have a collective approach on threats and do not expect to see the deterioration of the security. We want to have one approach towards any aggression of any sort, and we continue to discuss and deliberate upon regional and international alliances to keep the security at top of the agenda,” Shaikh Khalid emphasized.
