Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: LuLu Hypermarket’s much-awaited World Food Festival Season which kicked off on Thursday at the Dana Mall flagship store and now shoppers can enjoy authentic food recipes prepared by world’s top chefs in live cooking at the stores.
The opening ceremony was led by Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign and Domestic Trade at the MOIC in presence of Juzer Roopwala, Lulu Group Director and members of Lulu management held at Lulu Dana Mall.
The grand celebration of delicious food from around the world will run at all LuLu Hypermarkets in Bahrain, bringing alive some of the best-loved food themes for shoppers till March 8th, 2023.
Season One of the festivals will feature Chef Jomon Kuriakose, who has flown in from the UK; Bahrain-based Chefs Ala and Yousif Zainal, as well as Lulu Bahrain Head Chef Suresh Nair.
The chefs will be preparing special menus focused on global cuisine, which customers can purchase from any of the hypermarket’s locations across the Kingdom.
There are also exciting promotions ranging from 30% to 50% on everything from croissants and cakes to the best cuts of meat, seafood, fresh chicken parts, BBQ grilled meat, BBQ equipment, kitchen accessories and cookware.
On February 27, Indian actress Honey Rose from the state of Kerala will make an appearance at the festival, take a tour of the event, sample tasty treats and launch new products.
Lulu has also announced Masterclass sessions with chefs during the course of the festival and a Bake O’ Clock event that will reveal tips and tricks of the trade. To pick up some winning culinary hacks, shoppers can register for a MasterClass through social media channels.
