Manama: Zain Bahrain employees and interns have visited UCO Parents Care Centre and discussed cybersecurity and safe online practices with the Centre community and empower them with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.
The visit of UCO Parents Care Centre, which is a safe daycare for elderly people to socialize and deepen their interaction with their surroundings, involved Zain Bahrain employees and summer interns socializing with the members of the Centre, in which Zain Bahrain summer interns presented how to protect personal information online, including social networking, more safely.
The discussion also covered how to avoid opening scam attachments, clicking on links, or responding to calls from unknown people claiming to offer prizes or requesting personal information.
“Zain Bahrain is proud of the cooperation and engagement with UCO Parents Care Centre. Our cooperation is part of Zain Bahrain Corporate Sustainability Strategy that focuses on empowering all communities, including older people, through equity to provide awareness on essential topics such as Cyber Security. Such initiatives improve the elderly’s lives and contribute to the overall well-being of our society. Our visit aim was to uplift the center members with resources to thrive and expose them to the digital world safely and advance a more inclusive digital society to enable the achievements of the UN SDGs,” Fatima Haider, Zain Bahrain Manager, Sustainability, and Inclusivity, said.
“I would like to thank Zain Bahrain for their support to UCO Parents Care Centre. We are also pleased to work with organizations committed to being responsible corporate companies and driving positive and sustainable change for our community. Technology is important for our members to stay active and safe as they age. We are intensifying our efforts to teach them the digital skills that are useful for their day-to-day activities, and we are happy to have Zain Bahrain’s support,” Reema Ahmed Bin Shams, the Director General of Director of UCO Parents Care Centre, said.
