Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: In presence of sports world legend Jehangir Khan, the Intra-GCC Padel Tennis Tournament ‘Let’s Padel’ concluded on Sunday with a resounding success. The UAE team topped the ladder at an event at Ritz Carlton Hotel and Spa Bahrain.
The event, organized collaboratively by the Bahrain Chapter of ICAP and its counterparts in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, attracted widespread attention and participation.
The highlight of the tournament was the esteemed presence of squash legend Jahangir Khan, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The participants from all four countries showcased their prowess in Padel Tennis, competing fiercely for the coveted trophy.
The final match witnessed an intense battle between the top teams, culminating in a nail-biting finish that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. The winning team, that bagged $1,000 award and a trophy includes Saud Farooq and Amal Tabani from UAE, emerged victorious, securing the championship title.
The commendable skills and sportsmanship displayed by the team UAE’s Isfahan Iqbal and Abdul Rafay earned them the esteemed runners-up position.
The teams of the UAE Kashif and Adeel secured the third position, and the KSA Ahmed Jalal and Nazar Khan claimed the fourth position, leaving an indelible mark with their exceptional performances.
Jahangir Khan expressed his admiration for the participants and commended the collaborative spirit of the tournament. The event not only celebrated athletic excellence but also fostered goodwill and friendship among the ICAP community across the GCC region.
