MANAMA: The Bahrain Taekwondo Federation (BTF) organized a joint training in the “Fighting” and “Pomsae” styles, in which 46 male and female players representing 14 licensed Taekwondo training academies in the Kingdom of Bahrain participated.
This training aims to increase the friction and harmony between male and female players in this age group, which comes within the preparatory training gatherings for the youth team’s participation in the International School Games (Bahrain 2024) which will be held from October 23-31 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The President of the Bahrain Taekwondo Federation, Mr. Abdullah Issa Al-Duwai, confirmed that this step comes within the strategy of the Board of Directors to crystallize the goals and plans it has set in accordance with the policies drawn up by the Bahrain Combat Games Council headed by His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the General Sports Authority, in order to advance the sport of Taekwondo in its various branches, including fighting and Poomsae.
He pointed out that the gathering achieved many of the desired goals to double the achievement of the development programs that the Federation is following, explaining that the Federation always seeks to provide the appropriate environment for all members of the Taekwondo sport to achieve the best results in the upcoming events. The gathering witnessed a wide presence of the technical and administrative bodies of the Taekwondo sport, including the head of the referees committee, international referee Hassan Saad, the coach of the Poomsae team, Master Wassim, and the professors of the participating academies
