The Education Ministry announced that it would reinstate 50 students which had been expelled from the Bahrain Institute for Training (BTI) for committing violations.
“The BTI administration has contacted concerned students and urged them to register for the new academic year”, the ministry’s official spokesman Fawaz Al-Sheroogi in a statement said.
He also pointed out that expelled students had completed their suspension period and would return to their schools at the start of the new school year.
Al-Sheroogui stressed the importance of cooperation between parents and the ministry to foster national unity and steer schools away from anything which may involve students in political events contravening the status of schools, being educational establishments.
“The international covenants stress the importance of keeping schools as purely educational and apolitical establishments”, he said.
