His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa directed the government departments to respond promptly and swiftly to the concerns and remarks voiced by the citizens in different media reports concerning services or ministries’ work, stressing that the “citizen has to be on top of every ministry’s priorities.”
“Government plans and programmes are made to meet the citizens’ needs,” HRH Premier also said as he received, at the Gudaibiya Palace, a number of officials, in the presence of the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh.
During the meeting, HRH Premier called for the need to enhance infrastructure of villages and increase the number of their entries and exits so as to reduce traffic congestions, especially during school time, instructing the concerned sides to include more villages within the government strategy in order to upgrade their infrastructure services.
HRH Premier also highlighted the pivotal role played by shopping malls in boosting the kingdom’s tourism, which, he said, requires them to be near the necessary service facilities needed by the citizens and tourists.
HRH Premier reviewed with those present the world economic situation and its challenges, noting that the instable world economy urges countries from the region and the world to deal with it in a complementary manner.
HRH Premier also called upon GCC states to strengthen their cooperation in order to be capable of dealing with it collectively so as to ensure the continuity of the GCC prosperous march, asserting that the GCC entity is, and will remain, a source of strength for its peoples.
