The Royal University for Women resumed their fall semester after their mid-term and Eid break, with a new appointment of Dr. L. Sykes, the new Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dr. Sykes has over 30 years of professional academic experience. She has served in various positions in Washington, Pennsylvania, Budapest, Hong Kong and the Peoples Republic of China. She also has over 30 Honours and awards, 35 publications and over 30 professional presentations as well as many other impressive contributions to the different communities she served in.
“Dr. Sykes should be an excellent fit with our university,” Royal University for Women President, Prof. Mazin Juma said. “I believe we are fortunate to attract such a well-qualified administrator and leader. She has a good understanding and appreciation of our student-centered mission.”

Staff and students are all very excited that Dr. L. Sykes has joined the Royal University for Women. Her rich, impressive, international experience is a great gain for the university.
