The House of Representatives, in compliance with the noble recommendations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain and His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister ordering implementation of the recommendations of the Independent Commission of Inquiry and reliant upon the circular issued by the Civil Service Bureau decided to reinstate employees who had been dismissed reliant upon disciplinary board resolutions in the aftermath of recent unfortunate incidents to go back to work by January 2012.
This decision was made during a meeting of the office of the House of Representatives held today (Wednesday 21 December 2011) presided over by the House of Representatives’ speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani in the presence of parliament’s first vice Chairman Abdullah Al-Dossary, MP, second vice chairman Sheikh Adel Al-Ma’awdah, chairman of Legal and Legislative Committee Ahmed Al-Mulla, MP, and chairman of the financial and economic committee Ali Al-Durazi, MP. The meeting was also attended by acting secretary-general Jamal Zuwayyid, assistant secretary-general for human and financial resources and services Mohammed Ghareeb, chief parliamentary advisor Dr. Saleh Ebrahim and director of presidency affairs Samir Al-Fayz.
House of Representatives speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani revealed that parliament shall explore in its upcoming meetings the government’s reply regarding the final report of the parliamentary investigations committee regarding a number of LMRA irregularities and the reply of the Minister of Labour regarding question raised by Dr. Ali Ahmed, MP, regarding the actions taken regarding recommendations approved by the House of Representatives regarding the outcome of investigation committee pertaining to a number of LMRA irregularities and the reply of the Minister of Human Rights and Social Development regarding the question raised by Mahmoud Al-Mahmoud, MP, pertaining to the Ministry’s plan to restoring national bonds and report of the committee on legal affairs and legislation pertaining to the Decree-by-Law No. ( 36) for the year 2011 regarding regulations for eligibility of government employees to salaries and benefits and the report of the committee on foreign affairs, security and national security regarding the Decree-by-Law No. (28) for the year 2011 pertaining to issues pertaining to the state of national safety.
Al-Dhahrani revealed that parliament shall discuss in its upcoming sessions the reply of the Minister of Finance to the question raised by Abdurrahman Bu-Muttee’, MP, regarding precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Finance in order to avoid any spreading of the international economic crunch to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
And the reply of the Minister of Energy in-charge of Electricity and Water Authority to the question raised by Sawsan Taqawi, MP, regarding water leakages beyond gauges. And the reply of the Minister of Housing to the question raised by Salman Al-Sheikh, MP, regarding housing applications in the third constituency in the central governorate and the fifth constituency in the northern governorate and the reply of the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to the question raised by Abdulhameed Al-Meer, MP, regarding the timetable or strategy for lands acquisition or old dilapidated houses for the sake of public services utilities and the reply from the Minister of Human Rights and Social Development to the question raised by Abbas Al-Madhi, MP, regarding limited-income families, and the Minister of Education’s reply to the question raised by Abdullah Hwail, MP, regarding precautionary measures taken by the Minister of Education regarding increasingly growing cases of assault on Bahrain’s schools.
