The Housing Ministry in a landmark development is set to distribute over 2500 housing units as part of the government efforts aimed at serving the citizens on priority.
The Housing Ministry in a statement said that it would distribute 2512 units to eligible citizens on Monday at a ceremony.
Royal Charity Organisation board of trustees’ Chairman and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chief Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will patronize the ceremony.
The batch of units to be distributed are located in North Eastern Muharraq, Al-Malkiya, Jidhafs, Arad, the housing project adjacent to Bahrain Fort, Burhama, Jaw, Askar, Al-Jasra, Budaiya, Al-Dair, Samaheej, Busaiteen, Zallaq, Hunainiya and Salmabad. Some units have already been completed while the others are still under construction. Meanwhile, the ministry has unveiled plans to adopt the e-housing distribution for the first time this year.
“The innovative and time-saving online system will ensure transparency and justice in distributing units”, the ministry said.
