As part of its commitment to transparency and closer stakeholder engagement and service, Tamkeen released its Operational Plan for 2012 on its official website (www.tamkeen.bh), where it will be accessible to all members of the public for their feedback and comments. The step comes as precursor to a series of planned public consultation sessions with Tamkeen’s various stakeholders to highlight and discuss the main points of the plan.
Tamkeen’s 2012 Operational Plan was based on research and focus group discussions with its various stakeholders to identify the current and anticipated needs of Bahrain’s labour market. The Plan for 2012 – includes achievements and milestones of the previous year, strategic goals, ongoing and planned initiatives and programmes, and budget. The purpose of the pubic consultations is to help enhance the understanding of Tamkeen as an organisation, its internal processes, and its future outlook amongst both stakeholders and the general public.
“We at Tamkeen highly value our stakeholders and partners, and this initiative is just one way in which we continue to engage with and strengthen our relationship with them in order to better serve Bahrainis, and the private sector,” Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Mr. Mahmood Hashem Al-Kooheji, said.
Public Consultations are scheduled to take place from January 29th, 2012 for a period of two weeks and will include sessions with beneficiaries, media, service providers, partners, government agencies, and legislative bodies, among others. The consultations will serve as an ideal platform for stakeholders to provide input as all participants will be able to freely discuss their views and opinions.
“Qualitative feedback from the sessions will be documented, compiled, analysed and incorporated in the 2012 operational plan and future plans and programmes,” Tamkeen in a statement said.
