Shahnaz Husain, pioneer and leader of the Ayurvedic beauty movement has been honoured with “Asia’s Leading Woman in Business” Award by Women in Leadership Forum Asia.
Shahnaz has taken India’s herbal heritage worldwide with a crusader’s zeal. Today, she heads the largest organization of its kind in the world, with a global network of franchise ventures and over 375 organic formulations. The Shahnaz Husain path-breaking salon treatments and innovations have stormed international markets.
Franchising is the core of the success of the Shahnaz brand, having established franchise salons and appointed distributors in many countries of South East Asia. In fact, Shahnaz products have been showcased and exported to Malaysia and already enjoy immense popularity.
Shahnaz was invited to attend US President Barack Obama’s world Summit of Entrepreneurs in Washington DC in 2010. Representing India at the world summit, she spoke on “Unleasing Woman Power” and received a standing ovation. Known for unique business and marketing strategies, Shahnaz was invited to speak at Harvard Business School and MIT, in the USA, on how she established an international brand without commercial advertising. Recently, she spoke at Oxford University on Woman Entrepreneurship and at London School of Economics on India’s rising global economic status.
Shahnaz has received prestigious international awards and recognition, including the World’s Greatest Woman Entrepreneur Award from Success, the U.S. Business Magazine. She was also honoured with the Padma Shri award, for exceptional service towards the country and distinguished achievements in her chosen field.
