His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa affirmed that the National Project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has consolidated the kingdom’s position as a “hub of democracy, freedom of expression and acceptance of different opinions,” adding that he who denies that reality lacks credibility.
This came as HRH Premier received at his court today a number of senior officials, clerics, intellectuals, media figures and citizens.
During the meeting, HRH Premier said that the outstanding cohesion of the members of the tightly-knit one-family Bahrain society has thwarted all evil efforts to sow divisions and sedition among Bahrainis and projected the genuine image of the kingdom regionally and internationally, commending the sincere patriotic stances voiced by the Bahraini citizens on all occasions.
HRH Premier also asserted that Bahraini citizens’ awareness has enabled them to differentiate between the right and the wrong, and for that reason, all wrong deeds are doomed to fail.
“Those who try to sow division between the citizens of the nation of co-existence and consensus will earn nothing but failure,” HRH Premier added, noting that the rights of the citizens cannot be confined to one social component.
“The Kingdom is a nation that embraces all its citizens who are, for the government, equal in duties and rights,” he explained.
HRH Premier also praised the dedication of those Bahraini citizens who have assumed responsibilities and helped the government achieve progress and prosperity for the homeland, calling for the need to maintain cohesion and national unity, “the source of our strength.”
“I feel sad when I see that some are filling the minds and hearts of younger generations with hatred,” he also said, stressing that the nation will have to face the repercussions of those irresponsible attitudes.
HRH Premier also hailed the crucial role played by Bahraini journalists in defending national fundamentals and facing all those who seek to harm the cherished land’s unity, praising their role in helping the government focus on the sectors that serve the citizens and ensure their welfare.
“I have always been keen on keeping doors of communication with the citizens open so as to be informed on their opinions and concerns regarding government services,” he added.
