Within the framework of the cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Bahrain and world countries the Minister of Culture Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa signed a cooperation and cultural exchange agreement between the Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Ministry of Culture.
The agreement was signed by the Chinese deputy Minister of Culture during his visit to Bahrain to attend the Chinese Days events being organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Chinese embassy as part of the Spring of Culture activities.
The Minister of Culture affirmed that the cultural exchange and openness to other cultures has become vital in an age where all boundaries among countries had been removed and it was important for continued intellectual and cultural connection among nations.
She also hailed the great Chinese culture and that this agreement affirms strong relations existing between the Kingdom of Bahrain and China. For his part the Chinese Deputy Minister of Culture lauded Bahrain’s cultural movement and that Manama being selected as Capital of Arab Culture 2012 was due to the great efforts being exerted to spread culture and the protection of archaeological sites and heritage.
