The Bahrain Formula One will go ahead as scheduled, it was confirmed by the FIA.
In a statement issued on Friday, the governing International Automobile Federation (FIA) said that it was “satisfied that all the proper security measures are in place for the running of a Formula One World Championship event in Bahrain.”
Asked by reporters after a meeting with representatives of the 12 teams at the Chinese Grand Prix, Formula One’s commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone, declared that the Bahrain F1 race is ‘200 per cent’ certain to go ahead.
