His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa urged the media to be upgraded, stressing its growing importance in our contemporary world. He also highlighted the necessity to promote the culture of human rights, underlining Bahrain’s strides in this regard-being signatory of international covenants.
HM the King made the remarks as he received at Al-Safriya Palace newly-appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ghanim bin Fadhl Al-Buainain, Minister of State for Human Rights Dr. Salah bin Ali Mohammed and Minister of State for Information Affairs Samira bint Ibrahim Rajab were also sworn in.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander attended the oath-taking ceremony.
HM the King congratulated the new ministers on their appointment, wishing them success in assuming their patriotic responsibilities and serving the nation.
He urged all efforts to be mobilized to promote Bahrain’s progress and prosperity and bolster its status in the regional and international arenas.
He reaffirmed resolve to promote Bahrain’s progress and prosperity and ensure people’s welfare in all fields.
“Bahrain is a developed country that works towards ensuring more achievements and gains for the nation”, HM King Hamad said.
He lauded loyal citizens’ dedication and determination to honour their country and hoist its flag in all arenas.
The newly-appointed state ministers expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the Royal trust, vowing to spare no efforts to serve citizens and Bahrain and promote the Kingdom’s status in the world.
