The Bahraini delegation, including the Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al Hamer, the Secretary-General of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayad and representatives from the housing Ministry and the General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS), held a meeting with officials from the Prince’s Prince Charles’ Foundation for Building Community and was briefed on its policies and projects.
Al-Hamer and members of the delegation also discussed exchanging expertise and technical support regarding planning regarding housing projects.
The delegation also paid a visit to the Poundbury Village, designed according to the standards set by the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community.
It was also informed the Foundation’s experience in developing and rehabilitating human cadres to preserve traditional architecture.
It is to be noted that the Housing Ministry aims to be updated on international strategies, including that of the Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, in line with the government’s directives to ministries and state departments to be informed on the experiences of developed countries in the field of planning and social development.
