A team of vascular surgeons at the Military Hospital has performed a sophisticated Endovascular Surgery successfully through interventional treatment which does not require surgery in the abdomen and spares the patient some serious complications.
The patient, who was suffering from aneurysm, swelling blood vessel or artery, left the hospital in good health just three days after the success of the surgery.
Commander of the Royal Medical Services Major-General Professor Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the advanced level reached by the Military Hospital, hailing the efforts made by the medical team, led by the vascular specialist Lt. Colonel Doctor Dhafer Kamel, in cooperation with his counterpart from the King Saud University in Saudi Arabia Dr. Badr Al-Jabri to conduct such a surgery, the first of its kind in the kingdom.
