VIVA footballers got an exclusive opportunity to meet Manchester United Legend Dion Dublin and train at Carrington, training grounds of the first-team.
The former England footballer who is one of the select few to hold a record of over 100 goals in the Premier League era, Dublin was invited by Manchester United Soccer School (MUSS). VIVA players were thrilled to interact with Dublin who answered their questions, offered soccer tips and even participated in a MUSS training session which included a variety of small-sided games.
“I am very pleased to meet such a group of young, skilful footballers who understand the game so well. All they need to do is practice hard and regularly to improvise on the skills and work on their execution, listen to the coaches and most importantly, play as a team. This is all you need to focus on to achieve success and become a good footballer,” Dion Dublin, Manchester United Legend, said.
During their week-long training at Myerscough Residential College camp, VIVA footballers have been attending two football training sessions every day combined with interactive workshops and daily practice of short passing, dribbling, skill challenges and small-sided games under the supervision of UEFA qualified Manchester United Soccer School coaches. The training sessions have been designed in a fun and exciting ways to challenge and motivate players at all times and give them an insight into the training schedule of a young professional footballer.
