National Disaster Committee meeting chairs by Police Chief

The National Disaster Management Committee was chaired by Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and attended by the panel’s members. During the meeting, a brief on the committee, the recover capability of the Kingdom and requirements to develop emergency plans.
The penal reviewed what were achieved in the last phase and coordination mechanisms to face emergency.
The meeting also discussed recent incidents, including the discovery of explosive factory and the fire in the traditional suq in Isa town, in addition to the adoption of precaution steps to prevent such incidents.
The proposed bylaw of the committee and the draft of the national emergency strategy were reviewed.
