Bahrain generates 4000MW power: Dr Mirza

In line with His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s directives to reach out to citizens and assess their needs, State Minister for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza visited the majlis of Deputy Head of the Northern Municipal Council Ahmed Adnan Al Nasser where he met several members of the municipal council and citizens.

The Deputy Head of the Northern Municipal Council welcomed the minister, hailing continuous cooperation of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) to cater to the electricity and water needs of the Northern Governorate and lauding Dr. Mirza’s close follow-up on that.

Dr. Mirza thanked the Deputy Head of the Northern Municipal Council, the council’s members and citizens for the invitation and outlined EWA’s electricity production and distribution schemes, pointing out sufficiency of electricity production to meet demand this year which topped this week 2948 megawatt while production is 4000 megawatt.

He explained that the aim of the field visits is to meet citizens and evaluate the quality of services provided for them, in line with HRH the Premier’s directives.
