Gleams of hope and security have started to emerge in the Kingdom as citizens and residents have become confident that things will come to normalcy, wounds will be healed and safety and livelihoods will be secured, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
“The current situation requires us to be more coherent and united for the sake of restoring security and stability, and this can be achieved only by the loyal citizens who spare no effort in answering the call of duty whenever need arises,” HM King Hamad also said as he received here on Friday, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and members.
“Forms of sectarian polarization are alien to our society which has always been known for its tolerance and co-existence,” HM the King added, noting that “Bahrain has, throughout history, a hub of co-habitation for all people regardless of their sects of faiths, and for this reason we are all required not to allow any individual or social group to undermine domestic peace, terrorise citizens and residents and harm public and private properties.”
“The Reform Project we launched since our accession to the throne will continue un-wavered,” HM the King pledged, re-affirming that “doors are wide-open for all issues and topics that will benefit our beloved nation.”
HM King Hamad extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to GCC leaders for dispatching troops from the GCC Joint Peninsula Shield reflecting the one-family spirit prevailing across the GCC region, asserting that those forces are not deployed to maintain the kingdom’s domestic security only, but also to defend the GCC region as a whole.
