Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Undersecretary Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, held meetings during a visit to Japan with Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Chikao Kawai, Economy, Trade and Industry Vice-Minister for International Affairs, Nobuhiko Sasaki, Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shunichi Suzuki, and Foreign Ministry Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau Director-General, Dr Makio Miyagawa.
The visit is in line with efforts to further increase the on-going cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan.
During the meetings, the Undersecretary affirmed the outstanding bilateral ties that were made stronger after the historic visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Japan in 2012, which created new horizons of cooperation at all levels.
The meetings stressed the importance of bolstering cooperation and coordination to reach the highest levels in the political, economic, cultural and educational fields among others.
Regional and international issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
The Japanese officials praised the progress and reform witnessed by Bahrain, welcoming the National Consensus Dialogue and wishing the Kingdom and its people further prosperity and growth.
They also expressed their country’s keenness to develop cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields.
