The High Civil Court of Appeal has acquitted twenty-one medics involved in the February-March 2011 unrest and the incidents which took place at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
“Two other defendants have lost their right to file an appeal in the same case”, Chief Prosecutor Mehanna Al-Shaiji said.
The Lower Civil Court had sentenced 23 medics to three months in prison, fixing the bail bond at BD200 for bail. The same court dropped charges against five defendants out of 28 medics and acquitted them.
