Red Bull BC One, the world’s leading one-on-one B-Boy World Championship, will hold its North American 2013 Finals in Houston this Saturday, August 17 that one of Texas’s famed event spaces, Warehouse Live.
The region’s top 16 B-Boys will go head to head in a knockout competition, which includes competitors from 15 cities spanning the USA and Canada.
Viewers from around the world can tune in online to watch them compete for a spot at the 10th Anniversary Red Bull BC One World Finals, in Seoul, South Korea, in November. In what promises to be an intense round of battles, the 16 B-Boys will be judged by Red Bull BCOne All Star, Pelézinho, as well as B-Boy legends Wicket and El Nino. The winner of the North American Finals will be the second victor to earn his space at the World Finals, joining Latin American Champion Arex and the past eight titleholders to compete to be crowned the Red Bull BC One 10th Anniversary World Champion.
The North American Finals is one of the most competitive battle grounds, as the scene originated on the streets of New York City. With the 10th Anniversary of Red Bull BC One, the region’s B-Boys will battle even harder for that coveted win. B-Boying, one of the four pillars of Hip Hop, has a long and storied history, with breakers having elevated the dance into an art form over the years. Communal and competitive, talented B-Boys long to pit their moves against the world’s best, and Red Bull BC One has become recognized as the scene’s premier one-on-one tournament, attracting challengers and fans from across the globe.
