Bahrain hosts the 12th ministerial meeting for the Forum on Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), with the participation of foreign ministers of the member states in this regional bloc, which is considered one of the greatest forums for exchanging views, ideas and suggestions on various economic, social, scientific and media issues.
Kingdom of Bahrain is considered one of the key drivers for coordination between member states in the dialogue in all various cooperation areas including energy, electronic trade, tourism, environmental culture, culture and heritage.
This year, during the meeting, there will be a focus on encouraging tourism in Asia, and a selection of the Asian Capital of Tourism.
ACD aims at promoting mutual interaction between Asian countries at all levels, and expanding trade and Asian financial markets, in addition to increasing the size of the competitive force with countries of the world, as well as creating an Asian community that is able to interact with the world as a vital partner.
Bahrain’s hosting of the meeting comes out of its belief in supporting and consolidating cooperation ties with Asian countries.
HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa had participated in the first summit for the Forum of ACD, which was held in the brotherly State of Kuwait from in October 2012.
