MANAMA: A visiting delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) got briefing on Bahrain’s steps aimed at overcoming the 4.3% unemployment rate among the youth.
Bahrain affirmed bolstering cooperation with IMF and benefiting from its expertise in preparing reports and statistics related to human development programs, development of labour market systems and promoting investments in the areas of national human element.
Labour Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Ali AL-Ansari, held talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s advisory delegation on a mission to prepare the periodic report on Bahrain’s economic situation.
Labour Assistant Undersecretary reviewed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience in areas of human development and regulating the labour market stability, Labour Ministry’s role in providing training and rehabilitation programmes for the national workforce to incorporate them in the labour market, providing employment opportunities for job seekers, providing social protection for workers and promoting the community partnership among production parties, stressing the development of national human resources is the right way to improve the production level in the private sector.
