MANAMA: Bahrain City Center (BCC) witnessed an increase of 40% in footfall in May this year compared to the last year while the sales in April were up 20% compared to April of 2013, according to General Manager of the BCC Rumaihi Duaij Al Rumaihi.
This came as the Industry and Commerce Dr. Hassan Fakhro accompanied by a number of Ministry officials visited BCC as part of Ministry’s ongoing efforts to follow up the local markets and various commercial facilities in the country.
Duaij Al Rumaihi briefed the Minister on the latest development and number of patron and events held by the management especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.
Duaij Al Rumaihi confirmed that the mall management is doing a lot of events and programmes which contribute to attract patrons and stimulate trade movement, in addition that the shops provide promotions and discounts. He also emphasized the increase the number of patrons from Saudi Arabia and GCC all the time, expecting to see greater demand during this period, which coincides with the end of the school year and preparing for the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.
