MANAMA: The Ministry of Health has taken all necessary steps to keep Bahrain Ebola virus free in line with the directives of the Government.
The Official Government Spokesperson and State Minister for Information Affairs Sameera Rajab after the weekly Cabinet meeting told reporters that the Cabinet on Sunday discussed a comprehensive study on the precautions and procedures to prevent the Ebola Virus from entering Bahrain.
“The Cabinet reviewed the report issued from the Ministerial Committee, chaired by H.H. Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, concerned with presenting a comprehensive study on the procedures taken and all the other necessary procedures to prevent the Ebola Virus from entering Bahrain,” she said.
“The Cabinet decided to take more precaution in order to prevent the virus from entering the country,” she added.
The outbreak of Ebola virus in the West Africa has so far claimed over 600 lives so far and the global efforts were on to fight and restrict the spread of the virus.
