Manama: Injaz Bahrain which hosted its 9th annual ceremony at Crowne Plaza to honour top officials of the sponsoring companies said that 17600 students in schools and universities benefit from the programmes of the foundation.
Volunteers who carried out Injaz Bahrain programmes at the educational establishments have also been honoured, in the presence of board members, representatives of the strategic partners and employees and guests of honour.
InJaz Bahrain General Director Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa thanked all volunteers for their dedicated efforts, paying tribute to sponsors which include Bahrain National Gas Company, Gulf Petrochemicals Industries Company (GPIC), Alba, Gulf Air, Bapco and Ithmar Bank.
“InJaz Bahrain celebrates this year its tenth anniversary, boasting more than 600 volunteers”, she said, pointing out that over 17600 universities, secondary and intermediate school students benefited from InJaz Bahrain-run programmes.
She underlined the dedication of InJaz Bahrain to empower Bahraini youngsters and arm then with the concepts of work, citizenship, economics, partnership and business entrepreneurship.
“We aspire to accommodate up to 20,000 students from all school and academic levels this year”, said Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, revealing InJaz Bahrain plans to start engaging primary school students.
