Hidd: The board of directors of Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) during its 139th meeting at the company’s head office in Hidd elected Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors for another four-year term.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of His Excellency Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and in the presence of representatives of the other sisterly shareholder countries, the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Kuwait, State of Qatar, Republic of Iraq and State of Libya.
The meeting elected Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al-Khalifa as Chairman for the new 11th Session of the Board for a further four years. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Foozan, representative of Saudi Arabia, was elected First Vice Chairman, and Abdulla Fodhala Al-Sulaiti, representative of the State of Qater, Second Vice President.
The meeting also designated members of the Board’s Executive Committee, Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee for the new session. The Chairman and members of ASRY Marketing Company (ASRYMAR) were also elected, and Abdul Razzaq Jaffar Zain Al-Abedeen was appointed as Corporate Secretary for the new session.
The Board reviewed the financial and operational results, as well as commercial activities, of the company during 2014.
The new Board members made an inspection tour of administrative and operational divisions of the dry dock and the floating docks. They expressed their satisfaction and impression for the services and activities they saw within ASRY’s facilities, and highlighted the importance of the excellent specialized activities and services provided for clients regionally and globally.
