Manama: The Union of Arab Banks will host a specialised workshop under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) entitled: Stress Testing Techniques and Capital Planning According to Basel III, set to take place at the Gulf Hotel from 19-21 April 2014.
This workshop aims to define the function and features of macro, stress tests and enable the risk management employees in banks to identify the types of stress tests at the portfolio level, and how they are applied in practice, as well as identifying banks’ responsibilities for internal capital planning processes and determining the level of capital that is commensurate with the overall risk profile.
The workshop will be conducted by Rabih Nehme, Head of risk assessment dept., banking control commission of Lebanon, Mr. Stephen Williams, Chief financial officer (CFO), Gulf International Bank of Bahrain (GIB) and Antoine Meouchi, Group head risk integration and analytics, Bank Audi – Lebanon. And the lectures will be accompanied by discuss practical cases and exercises covering all the workshop themes.
