MANAMA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: The Kingdom of Bahrain on Monday has reported the first death, a 65 years old woman, from Coronavirus COVID-19 infection.
The Ministry of Health on its twitter announced the death of a Bahraini as the total number of cases reaching beyond 200 out of many have been relieved after the treatment.
The Ministry also confirmed that the Bahraini citizen had health complications and the tally of reported infected cases stand at 214 so far. The Kingdom of Bahrain’s large number of COVID-19 infection cases related to those who travelled to Iran and since then came back and many have been repatriated through special flights by Gulf Air.
There are 10 cases of transmitting the infection due human contact and the number of infections might be originated locally is zero.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has put in place stringent measures from screening to treatment and isolation for COVID-19 infected people to minimise the scope of spread of this deadly virus.
