MANAMA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor;The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is set to present a proposal to the Council of the Ministers, Cabinet, to wave off the Chamber fee for the year 2020.
The proposal comes in line with the BCCI’s various initiatives aim at supporting the private sector which has been hit hard by the outbreak of Coronavirus COVID-19. “The BCCI will present the proposal to the Cabinet and if it is get approved it will be another step helping the businesses in minimizing their overhead expenses in times when businesses need help,” Khalid Najibi, the Board Member and the Vice Chairman and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (BCCI) told The24X7NewsBahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).
Najibi, who is also the official Spokesperson of the BCCI, said the BCCI would continue to explore all possible avenues aims at creating some comfort for financially stressed companies and businesses.
It may be recalled that there is fee of BD30 for each CR which levied annually at the renewal of the CR.
