Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: The top infectious diseases expert underlines the importance of public cooperation to bend the curve of COVID-19 cases in Bahrain which recorded 1074, the highest number of infections in a day since the start of the pandemic.
Lt. Col. Dr. Manaf Al Qahtani-Member of the National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19) in a tweet said that the public co-operation is a key to control the spread of infections.
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that out of 17835 COVID-19 tests carried out on April 2, 2021, 1074 new cases have been among 274 expatriate workers, 760 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 40 are travel related. There were 763 recoveries from the COVID19, taking the total recoveries to 136827 so far.
There were 9100 active cases out of which 9034 stable; 66 in a critical condition; and 174 active cases receiving treatment. The total death tally from the COVID-19 reaches 527.
