Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Gulf Hotels Group (GHG), one of the top hospitality management companies in Bahrain, has further bolstered its network of properties it owns or operate in the Kingdom by acquiring the Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort.
The GHG said that it has reached an agreement with Al Jazeera Tourism Company (AJTC) to purchase the Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort. The signing of the agreement was signed by Farouk Almoayyed, GHG Chairman, with Hazem Alshaikh Mubarak Chairman of AJTC and the statement indicated the completion of the transaction by end of next month.
“The acquisition represents the determination in executing the Group’s vision of local and international expansion of its business portfolio,” the GHG in a statement said.
Farouk Almoayyed, GHG Chairman, termed the acquisition of this property would further strengthened Group’s robust portfolio and capabilities and that positions the Group operations closer to key hospitality brands. “This is a testament to our focused and committed vision to provide comprehensive hospitality solutions to further enhance our current business portfolio.”
“The acquisition will further strengthen the Group’s income streams, particularly in the weekend leisure market and offers many synergies that will benefit the Group as a whole. Once the transaction completed, our team will start planning an extensive refurbishment of the property, including re-engineering the food and beverage products,” Garfield Jones, GHG Chief Executive Officer, added.
