Washington, USA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa held bilateral meetings with leading energy and oil companies and discussed the future of the oil and gas industry.
His Highness highlighted the National Energy Strategy and the Kingdom’s energy transition has stressed the importance of building partnerships, enhancing cooperation, and exchanging expertise.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of The Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C. (closed) (nogaholding) held bilateral meetings with leaders of international companies in the oil and gas sector during “CERAWeek 2023” in Houston, Texas.
The meetings aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to secure the Kingdom of Bahrain’s energy needs for decades to come and achieve the nation’s COP26 and Net-Zero targets.
The bilateral meetings were held with prominent international companies including Bechtel, APA Corporation, Chevron Corporation, Palantir Corporation, and Eni to discuss the importance of enhancing cooperation, exchanging expertise, and building new partnerships across the oil and gas industry.
During the meetings, His Highness emphasized the significance of Bahrain’s National Energy Strategy which will help power the ongoing development of the Kingdom’s oil and gas sector responsibly and sustainably. He stressed it will not only enable the country to adapt to a low carbon future but will also redefine what the energy future will look like.
His Highness also highlighted the success achieved to date by the Kingdom in the oil and gas sector and further ambitions to seek new opportunities for the industry’s development, through the adoption of new technologies, innovation, and infrastructure to protect the environment and increase efficiencies.
His Highness also affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to providing a sustainable, affordable, and secure energy supply for the Kingdom in line with Bahrain’s sustainability objectives and the Economic Vision 2030.
